About the role

WHO IS A PROGRAM SUPERVISOR?

GreenTree Community Inclusion Programs Inc. is hiring a full-time Program Supervisor to help provide planning, coordination, administration and oversight of residential and community programs in the Prince George area, as well as to perform administrative duties to support the Leadership team. This position within the company is considered hybrid, as the Program Supervisor continues to also do Support Worker duties. Responsibilities include a wide range of administrative tasks as well as supporting the Program Manager. The Program Supervisor also participates in the bi-weekly, after-hours, on-call rotation.

WHAT DOES A PROGRAM SUPERVISOR DO?

  • Perform Support Worker duties in a single residence and will perform additional administrative and additional supervisory duties;
  • Perform administrative duties divided into 4 categories:
  • Staff related supervision and administration
  • Supervision and administration related to individuals
  • Supervision of residence, protocols and documentation
  • Supervision of policies, objectives, mission and vision of the company
  • On-call debrief;
  • Weekly medication check-in for refills and/or expiry dates;
  • Post weekly activity schedule;
  • Program inventory check (groceries, products, supplies);
  • Assist with Superstore and Costco purchases;
  • Cover bi-weekly on-call shifts outside of administrative working hours;
  • Collaborate with tasks assigned by the Program Manager;
  • Assist with the health and safety of the staff and program including conducting emergency drills and home/vehicle inspections;
  • Update the monthly calendar;
  • Ensure programs has required amount of PDC though inventory and ordering;
  • Holiday and event planning activities;
  • Lifebooks for person’s served;
  • Perform as acting Program Manager when required;
  • Required working training is 80 hours.

HOURLY RATES:

  • $30.03 training wage (approximately 160 hours);
  • $33.77 to $40.29 wage range after training complete (based on demonstrated experience and skill).

BENEFITS & RRSP MATCHING:

  • All employees working a minimum of 24 hours per week are eligible for our Extended Health and Dental benefits package;
  • 3 weeks of vacation time for all employees (based on accrual);
  • A voluntary RRSP matching program available to eligible employees.

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS:

  • Employees new to the company must comply with a paid basic training of 160 hours, which is progressive and adapts to the needs of the person

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Degree or diploma in a related human/social service field;
  • 3 years relevant related experience, including 1 year supervisory or administrative experience (or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
  • Specific training in behavioural modification, children under 12 years of age with support needs, attachment-based parenting, and relationship-based interventions (Trauma-informed practice;
  • Current and valid Standard First Aid with CPR Level C (or willingness to obtain before end of training period);
  • Have performed a Support Worker role or equivalent with recent experience;
  • Prior work experience of at least 6 months in residential and non-residential programs (or a combination of experience and education) is a plus;
  • Experience in administrative tasks and with the use of various technologies;
  • Knowledge of and direct experience in provincial or community social service programs;
  • Experience working with complex behaviors and special needs;

  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written);

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively;
  • Ability to perform a range of administrative tasks.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Criminal Records and Child Welfare screening checks;
  • Full driver’s license – Class 5 (ability to drive a minivan);
  • Submission of a clean Driver’s Abstract;
  • Have a working cell phone at all times while you are at work. To be used in emergencies and to be able to contact or receive calls or text messages from staff members.
