This position Supervises & leads the landscaping laborer crew that completes various landscape projects around the resort, as well as performing duties such as general grounds maintenance, assisting with special projects, snow removal, and resort detail cleaning as needed. This Landscape Projects, Supervisor position is a more experienced machine operator and has a skilled landscaping construction background, having a full understanding of the Resort’s standards, and leading the team in a positive, professional & safe manner.

  • Leads team of 4-6 skilled laborers through landscaping projects start to finish, which includes site jobs involving but not limited to - tree planting, garden construction, interlock, stonework, sodding and prepping, mulching, and planting.
  • Completes other day to day tasks as required by Manager – garden bed maintenance, emergency calls, resort grounds cleaning, detail work & snow removal through the winter months.
  • Operates medium to large sized equipment, and has ability to train others to set standard (i.e. Skid Steer, small – medium sized excavators, tractors, plow trucks and sanding equipment)
  • Inspects grounds; identifying when standards are not met and either (a) makes effort to correct it to the standard or (b) reports the issue to Management.
  • Works within set safety policies and guidelines to lead by example 6. Ensures quality standards are met through proper construction and drainage techniques used in various landscaping construction projects. Having a good eye for finishing details.

WHAT DO YOU NEED FROM ME?

  • 5 years previous landscaping/grounds experience required;
  • Valid Class “G” Driver’s License
  • High school or equivalent education preferred
  • Must be physically fit; able to lifts and carry heavy materials and perform repetitive tasks involving shoveling, bending, stretching, waling and kneeling
  • Experience operating and completing basic maintenance on machines 6. Experience with excavators, skid steers, tractors, and various handheld landscaping tools.
