Position Overview

Forum is seeking an experienced, bilingual Executive Director, Alternative Assets (Sales) – Quebec, to lead business development and advisor relationship management within the wealth management channel, including CIRO advisors and portfolio managers. This is a remote role based in Quebec with significant travel within the province.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Alternative Assets, this individual will be responsible for growing Forum’s market share across Quebec by driving sales of our alternative investment solutions. The successful candidate will lead all aspects of territory coverage – from advisor segmentation, strategic planning, and prospecting to consultative sales, education, and relationship stewardship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive Net Sales: Deliver on annual sales objectives by identifying new business opportunities and expanding relationships with advisors across CIRO (bank and independent) platforms.
  • Territory Ownership: Develop and execute a comprehensive territory plan focused on increasing advisor engagement and product penetration across Quebec.
  • Advisor Engagement: Conduct one-on-one meetings, virtual presentations, and in-branch group sessions to educate and influence investment advisors.
  • Channel Development: Cultivate strong working relationships with dealer head offices, product research teams, and branch leadership.
  • Collaboration: Partner with Forum’s internal wholesaling, marketing, product, and operations teams to ensure advisors are supported with timely insights, tools, and service.
  • Leadership & Coaching: Serve as a senior leader within the national sales team, mentoring associates and contributing to overall team development.
  • Data-Driven Sales Execution: Use CRM data, territory analytics, and campaign results to inform decision-making and optimize coverage.
  • Reporting & Feedback: Provide timely market intelligence, performance updates, and advisor feedback to senior leadership and product teams

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of proven sales success in investment management, with a focus on alternative strategies and wealth management distribution.
  • Deep knowledge of the Quebec advisor landscape with established relationships across CIRO channels.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills in both French and English.
  • Proven ability to execute a consultative, value-added sales approach that builds long-term partnerships.
  • Experience with CRM tools and territory management best practices.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong alignment with Forum’s culture of impact, accountability, and performance.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required; CSC mandatory. CFA, CIM, or MBA designation considered a strong asset.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel extensively within Quebec.
