About the role

Job Title: Front of House (FOH) Manager/ Cafe manager
Location: Forno Cultura, Toronto, ON
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Summary:
Forno Cultura is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Cafe Manager to lead our front-of-house team and bring our brand promise to life. This role requires a strong leader who is committed to upholding the Forno Cultura guest experience, creating a welcoming and refined environment, and ensuring operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Look and Feel

  • Oversee and maintain the visual presentation of the store, ensuring the look and feel of Forno Cultura is consistently represented.
  • Manage product displays, merchandising, and in-store promotions.
  • Ensure accuracy in product tags, pricing, and overall clarity for customers.
  • Uphold cleanliness standards throughout the store to enhance the guest experience.

Hospitality

  • Champion Forno Cultura’s guest experience, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere where customers feel at home.
  • Develop and implement a game plan for superior hospitality, elevating the customer service experience.
  • Foster a positive in-store environment aligned with Forno Cultura’s values.

Team Leadership and Development

  • Cultivate strong relationships with team members to promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Lead and participate in training and coaching efforts to ensure team alignment with hospitality and operational standards.
  • Facilitate open and effective communication across the team, fostering collaboration and support.

Operational Management

  • Manage supplier orders and maintain house pars for essential items.
  • Oversee inventory management, ensuring accuracy and optimal stock levels.
  • Approve and oversee team scheduling to ensure efficient operation.
  • Handle invoice processing through Dext and ensure timely delivery.
  • Use Slack, email, and other communication channels for seamless coordination.
  • Coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure a well-functioning and safe environment.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a hospitality management role, preferably in a bakery or high-end food retail environment.
  • Strong understanding of brand representation and the importance of visual merchandising.
  • Excellent leadership skills with experience in team building, coaching, and performance management.
  • High attention to detail, particularly in maintaining cleanliness and product presentation.
  • Familiarity with operational software, including Dext and Slack, is a plus.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a passion for customer service.

Pay: $21.00-$25.00 per hour
