Nucor Rebar Fabrication – Calgary, AB
Position Summary:
Join our Calgary team as a Sales Administrator– a key support role that blends customer service, product knowledge, and coordination of incoming materials. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys providing excellent customer experience while ensuring smooth branch operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional in-person and phone-based service to walk-in and retail customers.
- Prepare and process quotes, orders, and sales documentation for rebar and related products.
- Answer product inquiries, offer basic technical guidance, and refer detailed questions to appropriate teammates.
- Follow up on outstanding quotes and provide updates to customers as needed.
- Support collection efforts and help resolve customer issues or claims professionally.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with customers and vendors.
- Assist with basic pricing and estimating activities for standard retail orders.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials and supplies, ensuring accurate documentation and data entry.
- Reconcile shipping paperwork, update inventory records, and flag any discrepancies for correction.
- Coordinate with the Shop Manager and other team members to ensure efficient material flow and availability.
- Assist in organizing inventory and retail storage areas, maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
- Prepare and file necessary paperwork accurately and on time.
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Excellent customer service and organizational abilities
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-secondary diploma in business, construction, or a related field
- Previous experience in retail, construction, or warehouse environment
- Familiarity with rebar or steel products is an asset, but not required
Working Conditions & Special Demands:
- Overtime may be required during peak periods
- Role involves office work with occasional time in the warehouse or yard
- Must be comfortable standing, bending, and lifting moderately heavy materials during receiving tasks
