NONU $30.51/hr $36.98/hr
Under the direction of the Manager, Human Resources, the HR Assistant- Total Rewards supports the human resources department by handling duties including but not limited to administrative and clerical tasks related to the hospital’s total rewards program. The incumbent will also act as a support resource providing coverage at the HR Helpdesk to facilitate the smooth operation of the HR department.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support in the effective operations of the total rewards program of the Hospital, including but not limited to
- processing Employee Benefits and Pension Plans (HOOPP) enrolments
- tracking and processing of Credit for Experience requests, & terminations
- preparation of employee Letters including portability & LTD letters,
- generating & analysing data driven reports including benefits monthly financial invoices

Perform administrative duties such as preparing specialized & mass distribution communication, data entry, filing, record management (electronic and paper).

Enter, update and retrieve employee data from the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and other sources to create and maintain datasets.

Support the management of shared email inboxes, triaging employee queries, concerns, and requests; respond where appropriate and direct employees and management to the appropriate team member in a professional manner.

Provide backup support to the HR Helpdesk

Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Diploma, Certificate or Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or in related discipline.
- 2 years in Human Resources OR In lieu of formal education, 3 years in Human Resources.
- Knowledge of Collective Agreements, the Employee Standard Act, Human Rights Code, and Accessibility of Ontarians with Disabilities Act.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional organizational and customer service skills.
PREFERRED:
- Certified Human Resources Professional Designation (CHRP)
