About the role

Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Assist in the preparation of meals by chopping, dicing, and slicing ingredients
  • Follow proper food handling and safety procedures to ensure a clean and sanitary kitchen environment
  • Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, fryers, and ovens
  • Monitor food inventory and notify the supervisor when supplies are running low
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient meal service
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the food service industry or as a line cook is preferred
  • Knowledge of basic meal preparation techniques and food handling procedures
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
