We are seeking a highly-organized and ethical professional to support our human resources and workplace safety initiatives. WHAT YOU OFFER (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Competencies):
The ideal Human Resources Coordinator possesses:
- Education & Credentials: High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Human Resources or Business is preferred; CPHR designation and/or workplace safety certification is an asset.
- HR Expertise: Understanding the employee life cycle (i.e., recruitment, onboarding, performance management), ethical standards and confidentiality practices.
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with employment laws, international recruitment regulations and occupational health and safety standards in Saskatchewan and Manitoba.
- Experience: 2+ years in a human resources role is preferred.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Office 365 skills (especially Excel); strong HRIS and safety data management.
- Organization skills: Skilled in multitasking and managing priorities under pressure.
- Problem-solving skills: Self-motivated with keen analytical capacity.
- Communication skills: Strong written and verbal skills; confident presenting to groups.
- Ownership: Takes responsibility and sees tasks through to completion.
- Key Competencies: Business acumen, confidentiality and ethical practice, records management, relationship management, talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention.
WHAT YOU DO (Duties & Responsibilities):

Promote Workplace Safety
Coordinate toolbox talks, maintain safety records, manage incident reporting and ensure contractor compliance. -
Facilitate Staffing Transactions
Complete tasks pertaining to staff recruitment, onboarding, transfers, leaves and offboarding. -
Organize HR Initiatives
Plan and execute employee engagement events and other initiatives that support the functions of the HR Department. -
Provide HR Support
Respond to internal and external HR inquiries, enter accurate data in a Human Resource Information System (HRIS), complete employee benefit enrolments and perform other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Manager. -
Systems Administration & IT Coordination
Act as security administrator for dealership systems and work with IT providers to configure new hires’ technology needs. -
Payroll Support
Provide backup support for payroll processing.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
HR Coordinators are expected to meet Key Performance Indicators related to safety, compliance, retention and training. Additionally, maintaining a valid driver’s license and providing a criminal record check are conditions of employment.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
This position involves working indoors in a seated position for much of the workday. Staff are encouraged to take breaks to maintain wellness.
