We are a boutique (fifty person) law firm specializing in Canadian and US immigration. Our lawyers are licensed to practice law in both countries. We have a great culture and unparalleled drive for excellent client service.
We currently have one position available for a bright and hardworking Legal Administrative Assistant. This is a rewarding, collegial, and fast paced work environment.
The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of one year of Canadian or U.S. immigration experience. Experience with both Canadian and U.S. immigration would be an asset.
The successful candidate must have the following competencies:

Experience as a Legal Administrative Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Executive Assistant (or a combination of education and experience) is a strong asset.

Minimum one year of Canadian or U.S. immigration experience.

Self-starter capable of working independently and as part of a team.

Ability to learn and utilize various software programs used by the firm.

Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.

Education or certification in legal administration, as a Law Clerk, or in a law-related field is a strong asset.

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, with strong experience in calendar and legal practice management.

Extremely high level of attention to detail.

Ability to exercise good judgment, show initiative, and be proactive.

Solid organizational and time management skills.

Professional, responsive, friendly, and able to build productive relationships.
The duties include but are not limited to:

Assisting our busy immigration team with complex legal matters in Canadian and U.S. immigration.

Preparing and processing legal documents (both paper and online) under the supervision of senior staff.

Managing client files and practice activities.
-
Communicating with USCIS, CBP, IRCC, and other government agencies regarding client matters.

Managing calendars and emails.

Providing general administrative support.
