Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatcher Assistant to coordinate and manage the scheduling of drivers to ensure efficient and timely deliveries. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a solid understanding of logistics and transportation operations.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Assign, update, and track delivery routes using internal systems
- Respond to exceptions (e.g., delivery delays, failed scans) and escalate when necessary
- Ensure data accuracy in route tracking, POD status, and driver documentation
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams to resolve delivery issues
- Maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and internal documentation
- Prepare reports related to dispatch performance, incidents, or delivery delays
- Assist with updating system entries and filing delivery paperwork
- Support new driver onboarding and training session coordination
- Follow up on POD issues, delivery errors, or customer feedback
- Track high-risk or repeat issue cases and flag them for supervisor attention
Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in dispatching, logistics, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and industry best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and other relevant software.
- Bilingual in English and Chinese is a plus
- Schedule from 6am ET to 2pm ET
