About the role

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a assistant to sous chef , you will play a vital role in ensuring our kitchen runs smoothly and efficiently, contributing to the overall dining experience of our guests.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook food items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during peak hours.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace, adhering to food safety regulations.
  • Help with inventory management, including receiving and storing food supplies.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and communication.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation before serving to guests.
  • Follow all health and safety guidelines for food handling and preparation.

Experience

  • Previous experience in food service or the food industry is preferred, particularly in a restaurant setting.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and proper cooking techniques is essential.
  • Familiarity with various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $19.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 30 per week
