Brief Call : Our process typically begins with a brief virtual/phone conversation to get to know you! The objective? Learn about you, understand your motivations, and make sure we have the right job for you!
Interviews (the average number of interviews is 3 - the number may vary depending on the level of seniority required for the position). During the interviews, you will meet people from our team: your line manager of course, but also other people related to your future role. We will talk in depth about you, your experience, and skills, but also about the position and what will be expected of you. Of course, you will also get to know Amaris: our culture, our roots, our teams, and your career opportunities!
Case study : Depending on the position, we may ask you to take a test. This could be a role play, a technical assessment, a problem-solving scenario, etc.

Job Description We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer with deep expertise in cloud automation, CI/CD, and modern DevOps practices to join our team. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure DevOps solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, with a strong focus on Azure DevOps , GitLab CI/CD , and GitHub .
This role will drive the DevOps strategy, infrastructure as code practices, and continuous delivery processes supporting critical data platforms. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineering, infrastructure, and security, to ensure platform stability, automation, and performance.
This is a remote position in Canada.
Key Responsabilities: DevOps Engineering & Automation
- Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitLab, and GitHub.
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration-as-Code (CaC) using tools like Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Automate deployment and management of cloud infrastructure and data environments.
Monitoring & Performance
- Develop observability solutions with tools like Azure Monitor, Grafana, Prometheus, and alerting systems.
- Track system health, availability, and anomalies with customized dashboards and metrics.
- Lead root-cause analysis and post-incident reviews.
Source Control & Release Management
- Define Git-based version control strategies (branching, merging, rebasing, etc.).
- Oversee automated build, artifact, and release workflows for applications and databases.
- Manage source code integrity across multiple environments.
Cloud Infrastructure & Scalability
- Support cloud-native solutions primarily in Azure.
- Optimize cloud resource usage, scalability, and cost-efficiency.
- Partner with IT and security teams to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
Collaboration & Leadership
- Act as a DevOps SME to development, infrastructure, and analytics teams.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices across teams.
- Document runbooks, processes, and deployment guidelines.
Required Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles
- Azure DevOps, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub (must)
- Cloud infrastructure (preferably Microsoft Azure)
- Infrastructure-as-Code: Terraform, ARM, or Bicep
- Monitoring & observability: Azure Monitor, Grafana, etc.
- Scripting: PowerShell, Bash, and programming (e.g., C#, Python)
- Familiarity with databases and data-centric platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks, SQL Server, Snowflake).
