About the role
The Originations and Business Development Analyst will provide analytical and administrative support to the Originations department of HFS (Honda Financial Services). This role will create, analyze and distribute various reports for distribution to the Originations department, Sales and Marketing, Field Operations, UVO Remarketing departments as well as Honda Canada Sales departments.
Other duties will include tracking and monitoring credit applications, auto approvals and contract funding to ensure compliance with SOPS (standard operating procedure documents). They will provide updates and create SOPS as required for the Origination department, create BRDs (Business requirement Documents) for system enhancement and testing for all Origination system upgrades. This role will also monitor trends (fraud etc.) within Zones and Dealers and support the Manager, Originations & Business Development with Adhoc requests.
Responsibilities
- Create/analyze various data sets in order to identify areas of opportunity and improvement, including but not limited to Monthly and Daily data points and Reporting, CAPDo summaries, Credit and Funding Performance data and Reports, Exec Reports, Pivot Tables, Tableau & Power BI reports and maintenance , preparing & providing materials for analysis, presentations, forecasting, budgeting, risk analysis, business strategy (Credit and Funding) when required;
- Creating BRD (Business Requirement Documents), testing scripts and perform testing on Origination and related systems: work with the department leadership to write and develop requirements as well as be the primary business lead to assist in implementation of solutions;
- Complete end-to-end testing of all Origination system enhancements;
- Support Manager – Originations and Business Development - Adhoc requests and market research and attend meetings in support of Originations Department;
- General administrative duties, including but not limited to processing invoicing, manage other administrative tasks, draft Dealer bulletins and Dealer Handbook revisions;
- Any additional adhoc requests or special projects as required.
Qualifications
- University Degree or College Diploma in related field;
- 2 – 5 years experience; experience in Automotive, Data Analytics, and experience with Microsoft office suite preferred;
- Expert-level knowledge of Excel (charting, graphing, pivot tables, and report generation) along with solid working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Business Objects;
- Tableau certification an asset;
- Bilingual in French and English is an asset;
- Analytical and Problem solving skills.;
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team;
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with internal departments and affiliated subsidiaries; Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
