What You’ll Do:

Lead and manage all day-to-day accounting operations including full-cycle AP/AR, direct deposits, bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and tax remittances

Oversee month-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
-
Develop and document Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and accounting workflows
-
Drive team success by setting and executing clear Objectives & Key Results (OKRs)
-
Collaborate across departments to support company-wide goals
-
Contribute to special projects such as system upgrades and process automation
-
Ensure GAAP compliance, manage internal controls, and handle sensitive information with integrity
-
Act as a payroll backup when needed
-
Coach, support, and review performance of direct reports—building a culture of accountability and excellence
What You Bring:
-
CPA designation (required)
-
3+ years of full-cycle accounting experience, including higher-level or specialized functions
-
3+ years in a leadership role, managing and developing accounting teams
-
Strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading process improvement initiatives.
-
Experience in a growth-oriented, mid-sized business environment
-
Advanced Excel and proficiency in accounting/ERP systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho, SAP)
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive mindset
-
A team player who thrives in a fast-moving, collaborative environment
Bonus Points (Nice to Have):

Experience with remote teams or multiple tax jurisdictions (provincial, federal, or US taxes)
-
Familiarity with corporate tax prep, GST/HST filings, and audit processes
-
Experience automating accounting systems or migrating to cloud-based tools
-
Payroll knowledge or certifications
