About the role
Position: Animal Care Attendant / Receptionist, 2 openings for full time
Overview of duties
· Greet/ check clients in and out, answer phones, manage email and book appointments / client service
· Maintain medical records
· Patient restraint/ Assist DVM and RVT with patient care
· Maintain general cleanliness and sterility of the clinic
· Assist with pre surgical set up and post surgical clean up
· Nail trims and other minor procedures
· Animal Husbandry
· Availability Tuesday – Saturday
· Closing and opening of the clinic/ handling cash
Qualifications
· Strong client service skills / strong communication and social skills
· Works independently or alone well/ self motivated team player
· Physical ability for the job (lifting food bags/ large dogs ect)
· Ability to read animal body language / signals correctly
· Basic Computer literacy
· Bondable
Preferred but not required
· Prior clinical experience/ receptionist experience
· Education at an accredited school for VA or VT
Skill dependent the right candidate may be asked to assist with patient care alongside the DVM (Doctor) and or RVT (registered Veterinary Technician)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
