Kardium has a unique opportunity for an experienced Team Lead – Equipment Maintenance. As a member of the Manufacturing team, this Team Lead will be responsible for managing the maintenance and calibration manufacturing equipment used in the production of the Globe Catheter.
Please note, this opportunity is a on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.
Due to the nature of our manufacturing operations, this role involves a rotating or variable schedule. Evening shifts (Eg. Until approximately 7pm) and/or weekend coverage will be part of the responsibilities of this role. Occasional work on statutory holidays may also be required. For candidates selected to interview, this will be discussed in more detail.
Meaningful work you will be a part of
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring production line up time and actioning resourcing to address issues quickly
- Planning and scheduling maintenance activities
- Managing service agreements
- Review and support maintenance tickets
- Lead and mentor maintenance team
- Spare parts management, updating tickets/ERP to ensure spare parts are suitably checked in/out and restocked
- Management of inventory levels for spare parts
- Purchasing of equipment items
- Manage production tool inventory (non-equipment)
- Management of clinical support field kits and other similar items
- Coordination of calibrations

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:
- Technical diploma, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum 5 years experience in equipment maintenance or servicing, with prior leadership experience
- Experience in a highly regulated manufacturing environment such as ISO13485 or AS9100 strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy and timeliness
- Superior team building and interpersonal skills
- Experience working in a cleanroom environment is desirable
- Experience writing technical procedures and reports
- Strong diagnostic and critical thinking skills
- Effective written and verbal communication and technical documentation skills
- Flexible and able to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate
Compensation
Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
- $75,000 – 95,000 (CAD Annually)
