Position Summary
The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) will serve as a key member of the executive team, responsible for leading Cascadia Green Development’s investment strategy and capital partnerships. This individual will oversee all aspects of the company’s real estate investment platform, including acquisitions, dispositions, investor relations, and capital raising for development projects.
This role is ideal for a seasoned real estate professional with deep market insight, strong financial acumen, and a passion for shaping urban environments through strategic investment. The CIO will drive deal flow, manage key investor relationships, and ensure the long-term financial health and scalability of the company’s development pipeline.
Key Responsibilities
Investment Strategy & Execution

Lead and manage the sourcing, underwriting, and execution of real estate acquisitions and dispositions across the development portfolio.

Develop and refine the company's investment thesis to align with market trends, land use policies, and economic conditions.

Evaluate new market opportunities and lead feasibility analysis, pro formas, and due diligence efforts.
Capital Raising & Structuring

Lead all fundraising efforts, including equity and debt structuring for specific projects and at the corporate level.

Develop and maintain relationships with a wide range of capital partners: institutional investors, family offices, high-net-worth individuals, and lenders.

Oversee the preparation of offering memoranda, investor presentations, and financial models for prospective and existing investors.
Investor Relations

Manage ongoing communications and reporting with investment partners and limited partners.

Ensure transparency, accuracy, and professionalism in all investor deliverables.

Represent Cascadia Green Development at industry events and in direct investor meetings.
Leadership & Collaboration

Work closely with the CEO, and Finance team to align investment goals with project planning and corporate strategy.

Mentor and lead a growing investment and capital markets team.

Act as a strategic thought partner on major initiatives, joint ventures, and partnerships.
Qualifications

10–15 years of progressive experience in real estate investment, development, private equity, or capital markets.

Proven track record in raising capital, leading real estate transactions, and managing investor relationships.

Deep understanding of land use economics, zoning frameworks, and municipal processes within the Metro Vancouver region (or similar markets).

Strong analytical skills and financial modeling capability.

Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA designation is a strong asset.
