About the role
Purpose:
The Undergraduate Program Support Assistant provides undergraduate program, course, and other administrative support for the Departments of Visual Arts and Art History and Computational arts within the Faculty of Arts, Media, Performance and Design (AMPD) under the direction of the Operations Manager.
Education:
Completion of the 1st year in a relevant post-secondary diploma or degree program.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year experience in office administration and front desk reception.
Skills:
- Ability to deal courteously and effectively with people.
- Effective communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to pay attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure of high volume and constant interruptions.
- Effective organizational skills including the ability to multi-task, set priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Knowledge of on-line computerized records system (e.g. SIS).
- Knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel.
