Job Description:
Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager, Closing & Reporting
If you are an accounting graduate with prior accounting and reporting experience, we're looking forward for you to apply. In this role, you will be responsible for preparation of Financial Reporting activities and performing variance analysis. Understanding and analyzing financial statements from quarterly/annual reports and filings to come out with logical interpretations and trends. Demonstrates and applies in-depth subject knowledge to deliverables and has general understanding of other-related disciplines. In this role, you will be expected to work on strict deadlines, in a fairly fast paced business environment while being a good phenomenal teammate and be open to working in any shift as per the business requirement.
Responsibilities
Ensure end to end coordination of the team with different LOBs for data consolidation, certifications & related activities
Ensure all month end activities are completed within agreed time and of the highest quality and ensure metrics are met as per agreed critical metrics/SLA as applicable.
Preparation and reviewing of balance sheet and PL reconciliations.
Preparation & Review of Month end and other periodic Journal entries
Interpretation of instructions related to reports & come out with logical recommendations to resolve any edits and perform reconciliations as per the guidelines & performing variance analysis.
Analyzing financial statements from quarterly/annual reports and filings to come out with logical interpretations and trends.
Develops and implements standard methodologies in work papers
Close Interaction with Customer & business.
Intra process communication and standard methodologies sharing.
Develop and maintain relationships and work well with all levels of management.
Encourages the sharing of knowledge and information across teams and demonstrates from experience and learning from others
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Undergraduate degree such as finance, accounting, economics, statistics, business administration or commerce.
CA/CPA designation (or working towards)
Preferred Qualifications
Insurance accounting knowledge/experience would be an added advantage
Experience in SEC or REG Reporting Profile would be added advantage.
Knowledge of US GAAP/ IFRS (IFRS 17) would be added advantage
MS-excel knowledge, must have already worked on various types of data using advance excel skills
Proficient in MS Office applications, especially in MS excel
Good communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach
