Position Overview:

The QA Raw Materials Coordinator is responsible for the ongoing inspection of raw materials at all stages of the manufacturing process to ensure that Canada Goose quality standards are met.

The QA Coordinator will follow performance standards and procedures to meet QA department and CG business requirements and must be capable of multi-tasking while working in a team environment to perform tasks cross functionally.

What you'll do:

  • Coordinate with Product Developers and Sourcing teams to establish and communicate quality standards for each new season.

  • Manage testing process of new fabrics with third party, this includes and not limited to: shipping test yardage, reviewing all testing reports/results upon receipt, filling out tests results and communicate to stakeholders all necessary information to ensure seamless process.

  • Inspect pre-shipment, bulk samples, and shipments of fabrics and trims. Compare against CG standards and communicate results to relevant departments.

  • Engage with fabric and trim suppliers regarding inspection outcomes. Drive continuous improvement and manage release or rejection of shipments

  • Monitor all third-party testing and inspection processes to ensure consistency and compliance.

  • Issue Nonconformance report and ensure follow-up with rejection process

  • Conduct and analyze in-house tests in the QA lab. Validate third-party test results and ensure alignment with internal standards.

  • Maintain the QA standards library and ensure accurate and up-to-date documentation.

  • Provide quality support for lab dips, raw materials, and finished goods during production cycles.

  • Act as a back-up to the QC Coordinator during absences or periods of high workload.

  • Support the development and implementation of QA processes and procedures using advanced knowledge of industry standards.

Let's talk about you:

  • College Degree or Diploma in apparel design and manufacturing

  • 3-5 years of quality control experience within apparel manufacturing industry

  • Textile/fashion industry knowledge

  • Specialized lab testing knowledge

  • Colour principle and colour sense

  • Strong eye for details (shading, millimetre difference, colour reading and grading, etc.)

  • Textile and lab testing knowledge

  • Knowledge of industry inspection standards and garment construction (4-point system)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and QA documentation tools

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.

  • Able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment

  • Positive attitude and a great team player

  • Ability to use own initiative, problem solve with a can-do attitude

  • Retail experience can be asset.
