About the role
Drive Sportswear is seeking a junior sales professional with experience selling services to a variety of industries. This individual will focus exclusively on discovering and pursuing new sales prospects, negotiating deals and managing the contract process through close. The ideal candidate is an assertive, highly organized, self-starter who thrives on identifying new sales opportunities and has established contacts within the various industries and understands how to manage the various stakeholders & influencers through the sales process in order to win the sale.
To perform the Sales Representative job successfully, the candidate must be able to do the following:
- Travel within sales territory to meet prospects and customers (Calgary)
- Conduct calls and face-to-face meetings with customers daily
- Develops relationships with current customers and potential customers
- Maintain records of all sales leads and/or customer accounts
- Educate customers on how products or services can benefit them financially and professionally
- Assist customers by providing knowledge and training company products to their store personnel, to ensure personnel able to present product and negotiate well with consumers
- Manages displays, samples and selling tools for customer availability
- Quotes prices, discuss credit terms and prepares sales contracts for customer orders
- Estimates date of delivery to the customer, based on knowledge of company's delivery schedules
- Review and analyze various sales reports to identify sales potential with current customers and potential new customers
- Utilize all marketing tools such as catalogues, brochures, and vendor collateral to broaden reach in territory and promote company product
- Performs additional duties as required and/or requested
- Must be results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment
