Job Description Brookfield Renewable Power & Transition is seeking a highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join our Corporate Finance team. This role is integral to the preparation of quarterly and annual financial disclosures, including MD&A, financial statements, supplemental information, and press releases—in compliance with IFRS and regulatory requirements (OSC and SEC).
In addition to financial reporting, the role supports financial planning and analysis, capital markets activity, and investor relations initiatives. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop robust financial models and return analyses to evaluate potential investments, supported by in-depth company and industry research.
- Support the identification and assessment of new investment opportunities across clean energy, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
- Contribute to transaction ideation and structuring through market research and strategic analysis of emerging sectors.
- Assess the decarbonization potential of investments in alignment with the Brookfield Global Transition Fund’s impact framework.
- Partner with operating teams to coordinate and execute due diligence processes.
- Lead cross-functional project management efforts to evaluate GHG reduction and development opportunities.
- Prepare high-quality materials for investment committee review and other key transaction documentation.
- Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture that encourages personal growth and a flexible, team-oriented environment.
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA, or U.S. equivalent) required.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in financial reporting or corporate finance.
- Clear and persuasive communicator, able to articulate complex concepts in precise, professional English.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborative team player who thrives in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
- Analytical and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
