About the role

Generous basic salary plus open-ended commission.

Based in North Vancouver since 1986, we are a dynamic software engineering and asset performance management (APM) company, which has been at the forefront of preventative maintenance for over 38 years. With over 400 client locations around the world, our continuing growth and succession planning means that we are recruiting a skilled and experienced Sales Manager, who will report directly to the North American Sales Manager. 

This is a demanding role which is responsible for generating profitable sales from new and existing clients in Eastern Canada and the Northeast USA. In addition to direct sales activity, the successful candidate will be expected to develop, launch and manage effective sales campaigns and is likely to have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar or technical sales support role.

Key responsibilities include:

-       Drive revenue, profit and customer growth while achieving product sales targets

-       Collaborate with the North American Sales Manager to develop and implement a Sales Plan to expand DMSI’s customer base and product penetration.

-       Ensure a strong market presence, maintaining visibility within existing customers as agreed with the North American Sales Manager.

-       Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships

-       Present sales, revenue and expense reports and realistic forecasts to the North American Sales Manager on a monthly basis

-       Identify and communicate emerging trends, market-shifts, new product developments and competitor activity with DMSI colleagues

-       Attend Regional Trade Shows and other brand-building events across Canada

-       Work with the North American Sales Manager to continuously review and improve DMSI sales processes.

Candidate Profile:

The right candidate will be driven, results oriented, keen to progress their career and will have strong leadership potential.

·      University Degree ( Engineering or Business preferred)

·      Resilient in a demanding environment and able to maintain a positive and outgoing attitude

·      Fluent spoken and written English is essential.

·      Fluent spoken and written French would be preferred.

·      This role will require travel across Canada and the Northeast USA.

·      Valid Driver License is required.

·      Valid Passport is required.

In return, we provide extended medical and dental benefits after 3 months (50% paid by company), a very competitive salary plus open-ended commission.
