Job Summary A Brief Overview Reporting to the Assistant Vice-Principal, Economic Development, this position primarily focuses on supporting the planning, implementation, and evaluation of initiatives that fosters and advances economic development to support the coordination and completion of required activities .This position researches, compiles, develops and supports proposals for new initiatives, institutional memberships, and other activities that align with the economic development strategy. This position prepares and distributes content for correspondence, documents, surveys, and/or reports. This role interacts with a range of stakeholders including internal/external teams in the VPR research portfolio, as well as government agencies, industry stakeholders, and community partners.

This position monitors major quality and department programs to support the coordination and completion of required activities. This position researches, compiles, and analyzes content for reports and surveys. This position prepares and distributes content for correspondence, documents, surveys, and/or reports. This position also interacts with a broad set of stakeholders, and coordinates meetings.

Job Description " What you will do

  • Monitors major quality and department programs to support the coordination and completion of required activities.
  • Researches, compiles, and analyzes content for reports and surveys.
  • Prepares and distributes content for correspondence, documents, surveys, and/or reports.
  • Interacts with a broad set of stakeholders, and coordinates meetings including preparing materials, recording, and distributing minutes.
  • Disseminates information to stakeholders and senior staff.
  • Updates and maintains files including collecting, synthesizing, and recording data.
  • Monitors and coordinates file access and permissions for various stakeholders.
  • Other duties as required in the support of the department and/or unit.

Required Education

  • Four-Year Bachelor Degree or equivalent.

Required Experience

  • More than 2 years and up to and including 3 years of experience.

Consideration may be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Job Knowledge And Requirements

  • Practical and applied knowledge of specialized methods and processes that are typically acquired through a combination of technical or academic qualification and/or work experience.

  • Participate in project team meetings and develop individual project plans.
  • Lead procedural or technological change within a unit.
  • Identify new problems and seek information and input to fully understand the cause of problems.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of work processes.
  • Draw logical conclusions and provides opinions and recommendations.
