Recruitment Services (RSU) is seeking one motivated individual for the role of Senior, Recruitment Services Officer, located in the Regina office of Immigration Services Branch.

Reporting to the Manager of the RSU, you will:

  • lead a team that works closely with divers stakeholder (employers, industries, association, trade offices, etc.) to identify how the RSU can address labour market needs in support of developing, attracting and retaining a skilled and productive workforce;
  • foster relationships with stakeholders, delivering information to appropriate to audience;
  • coordinate and deliver presentations to various stakeholders;
  • assist the manager with training staff and enhancing/optimizing internal programs and related processes;
  • develop working relationships with related federal and provincial agencies and other stakeholders.

You will have knowledge of:

  • Saskatchewan's labour market trends, issues and recruitment opportunities; and
  • government policies and programs.

You will have demonstrated the ability to:

  • verbally and in writing, plan, develop and deliver information to a variety of people in a manner appropriate to the audience;
  • plan, prioritize and balance diverse and conflicting workload pressures, taking into consideration task complexity, frequent interruptions and deadlines;
  • plan and lead domestic and international recruitment missions;
  • articulate strategic directions to link current operation to the future directions of the ministry;
  • identify and assess relevant data, trends and opportunities; consider a variety of options; then determine and implement and appropriate course of action, engaging management or ministry partners as needed;
  • ability to create and generate queries, reports, and other documents using work processing, databases, spreadsheets and other software packages;
  • ability to initiate and manage strategies for improving and streamlining programs;
  • consult and collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to establish partnerships, obtain, exchange and confirm information; identify solutions; develop and maintain standards;
  • promote self-reliance, professional growth and teamwork among a team, possessing excellent interpersonal and public relations skills;
  • guide and coach diverse group of employees, that results in a team that can meet its goals and objectives, while maintaining a healthy, productive, respectful and safe work environment that is free of discrimination;
  • work independently or collaborate as a team member with co-workers, agencies and others to consistently meet program and client needs;
  • be and enthusiastic team player whom tactfully and respectfully supports colleagues to promote a positive work environment.
