TBH Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a leading CPA firm based in Vancouver, Canada.
We are currently recruiting experienced Senior Accountants to join our client’s Private Enterprise and Assurance teams. These opportunities offer an excellent opportunity to contribute to a firm that is committed to delivering exceptional accounting services to a diverse client base.
The Senior Accountant plays a key role in supporting Managers and Partners by completing both routine and complex client engagements. This role also involves coordinating, guiding, and mentoring team members to ensure the delivery of high-quality work that exceed client expectations.
You are proactive, collaborative, and committed to excellence, willing to roll up your sleeves when needed to get the job done efficiently, accurately, and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements and tax returns
- Participate in the planning, execution, and completion of assurance engagements
- Identify, communicate, and resolve key issues during assurance engagements
- Mentor junior team members in daily fieldwork
- Communicate professionally and effectively with clients
- Demonstrate strong technical knowledge of professional accounting standards
Other Duties
- Utilize accounting software to review or compile client information
- Prepare or review tax returns
- Manage schedules and deadlines to ensure effective budget and time recovery on engagements
Requirements
- CPA designation completed, or in progress with recent CFE completion or nearing final designation
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an auditor within a public accounting firm
- Proficiency with time management, tax, bookkeeping, and client management software
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering quality work
- Willingness to work extended hours during peak periods
- Ability to legally work in Canada with no restrictions or sponsorship
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a calm, professional communication style
- Proven ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
