Based in Montréal and under the supervision of the Maintenance Technician Supervisor,, you will perform preventive maintenance for assigned buildings, respond to emergencies on the road, and support building technicians as needed. You will act within your certification limits and regulatory guidelines to ensure building systems run efficiently and safely.
Main Responsibilities:
- Act as first responder to requests for ventilation adjustments within regulatory and certification scope
- Maintain appropriate inventory levels of chemicals for cooling towers
- Keep inventory of filters, belts, packing, and lubricants for HVAC and pump systems
- Ensure proper equipment operation and contact service contractors when necessary
- Assist building technicians with general maintenance (e.g., water leaks, office reconfiguration)
- Monitor and support subcontractors during onsite work
- Generate and complete work orders in the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Conduct daily rounds of building infrastructure
- Ensure optimal functioning of building systems and follow preventive maintenance schedules
- Test water chemistry in cooling towers and replace filters as needed
- Optimize system setpoints and respond to service calls
- Understand and monitor fire panel system
- Maintain up-to-date maintenance logs and coordinate system shutdowns with management teams
Qualifications:
- Valid Stationary Engineer 4B Certificate (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms and general IT proficiency
- Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical staff
- Versatile, proactive, resourceful, and autonomous team player
