Position Overview Reporting to the Director or designate, the successful candidate is expected to: provide customer service to clients in person and over the phone, provide a positive, friendly and welcoming environment for members and visitors, sell memberships and various other services and products, collect fees for products and services, perform opening and/or closing duties as per schedules shifts, schedule various appointments for clients, give informative tours of the facility, and facilitate room set-ups.
Experience
- Experience working with membership computer software preferred; basic computer skills, essential.
- Previous experience answering phones and responding to customer inquiries in a reception desk setting preferred; experience answering phones in a customer service setting is essential.
- Minimum 1-year experience in a sales-based customer service setting preferred.
- Leadership experience would be an asset.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Grade 11, required.
Certification/Licensure/Registration Not Applicable

- Strong communications skills, with a good command of the English language.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility and independence in assessing situations and making effective decisions.
- Ability to deal effectively with conflict is essential.
- A friendly and outgoing personality that supports a customer service setting.
- Provide a positive, friendly, and welcoming environment for members and visitors.
Physical Requirements
- Position includes standing for lengthy periods of time, lifting/moving tables and stacks of chairs, approximately 35 lbs.
This position requires a current satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment. The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment. Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more positions across the WRHA legal entity that combine to equal more than 1.0 EFT. The WRHA legal entity includes Churchill Health Centre, Deer Lodge Centre, Golden West Centennial Lodge, Grace Hospital, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, Pan Am Clinic, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA corporate programs, and WRHA community health services.
Interviewed candidates may be called upon to participate in a skills assessment.
