Job Description Eataly is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Category Associate to join our Grocery team in Canada. This role combines purchasing support with data entry responsibilities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proficient in Excel, and capable of maintaining accurate product data while supporting day-to-day buying operations.
Reporting to the Head of Product – Grocery, this position plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy of product information, vendor coordination, and operational efficiency across our store network.
Buying & Category Support
- Assist with product reorders and inventory management across Eataly Canada locations
- Monitor inventory levels and flag overstock/out-of-stock risks
- Coordinate product flow and deliveries in collaboration with the Operations and Logistics teams
- Support vendor communication: follow up on order confirmations, deliveries, and agreed terms
- Prepare basic sales and performance reports to support team decision-making
- Assist with research on category trends and customer preferences
- Performs other duties as assigned in support of the Grocery Buying Team
Data Entry & System Maintenance
- Create, update, and maintain accurate product master data (pricing, descriptions, lifecycle status) in ERP systems (e.g., D365, Adaco, Catapult, WMS)
- Maintain internal product catalogs and documentation, ensuring stakeholders have access to current information
- Act as a liaison between warehouse, buying, and receiving teams to resolve data or invoice discrepancies
Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in supply chain, business administration, data management, or a related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate level)
- High attention to detail and data accuracy
- Strong communication and time management skills
- Comfort working in a cross-functional and fast-paced environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems (D365, Adaco, Catapult, or WMS) is a plus
- Interest in Italian food and grocery products is a plus
