Cancer Care Alberta is currently looking for a Radiation Therapist to join our team at the new Arthur Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre in Calgary. Reporting to the Manager of Radiation Therapy you will join a dedicated and collaborative interdisciplinary team comprised of Radiation Therapists, Dosimetrists, Oncologists, Medical Physicists, Allied Health, Nursing and Administrative professionals. You will work with innovative treatment technologies and equipment that include but will not be limited to CT, PETCT, MRI simulators, MR Linacs utilizing adaptive treatment workflows, external beam radiation with Varian True Beam Linacs, Edge Linear Accelerators, MRI guided brachytherapy, a provincial TBI program, Dosimetry specialization opportunities and much more. Description:
As a Radiation Therapist I, you will deliver a prescribed course of radiation treatment to patients and assist in the efficient, safe and accurate planning of patient's care during simulation and/or planning procedures according to the direction of a Radiation Oncologist. You will assess each patient's reactions to treatment, document treatment plans, and maintain patient records. Additionally, you will educate patients about treatment procedures, side effects, and appropriate management strategies to mitigate the side effects of treatment, making referrals to other health professionals as needed.

Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or accredited non-Canadian program.
Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT).
Additional Required Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited program in Radiation Therapy in Canada or accredited non-Canadian program. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Medical Diagnostic and Therapeutic Technologists (ACMDTT). Must be able to perform all duties of the job including lifting and moving.
Preferred Qualifications:
Active or eligible for registration with the Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT). Basic Life Support (BLS).
