As a Capital Equipment Specialist, you will join our team in Toronto, ON, representing Tribe Medical Group across Ontario (excluding Thunder Bay). In this role, you’ll drive the sales and implementation of our Arthrex Synergy team—featuring 4K imaging systems, endoscopes, and integrated surgical tools like soft-tissue and bone resection, fluid management, powered instruments, and insufflation—you’ll help create fully integrated OR environments that combine advanced technology with world-class infrastructure. You’ll guide purchasing decisions, support installations, and ensure ongoing customer success through your professionalism and consultative approach. Often partnering with Skytron’s capital solutions, including surgical lights, booms, OR tables, architectural infrastructure, and real-time integration systems. You’ll collaborate with hospital leaders, OR planners, and surgical teams to deliver high-impact, customized solutions that enhance surgical workflow and efficiency.

Important Facts

  • Role is based in Toronto, ON. Preference will be given to candidates local to the area.
  • Estimated start date: August 2025 or when successful candidate is found.
  • This role is a replacement role.
  • The salary range for this position is: $65,000 - $75,000 CAD with eligibility for commission and bonus + paid travel and accommodation.
  • This role will be overseen by the National Director of Sales and work day-to-day with the Territory Manager.
  • This role requires periodic travel down to Naples, FL, our Arthrex Global Headquarters, and Grand Rapids, MI, our Skytron global head office. Candidates must be eligible to travel to and from the United States as a requirement.

Working Conditions:

Physical Requirements:

  • Strength Guidelines

This role does not require much lifting but occasionally when required, you may be required to lift various office supplies of up to 50lbs.

  • Travel and Mobility

This role requires regular travel to hospitals and surgical centres within the assigned territory. Frequent driving and occasional air travel may be required, specifically to the US. Candidates must be able to move comfortably between multiple locations and carry necessary materials and equipment.

  • Motion Parameters

This role requires majority of the time spent in the field, including standing, walking, and moving in hospital or surgical environments for extended periods. Candidates must expect to be on their feet for long periods of time in medical facilities.

  • Psychological Demands

This role requires the ability to make quick decisions, problem-solve on the spot, and interpret complex medical information quickly. Candidates must also maintain a high level of emotional intelligence while working in high-pressure environments. The ability to manage time effectively, especially with travel and on-site consultations, is essential to balancing multiple priorities.

Candidate Profile:

  • Previous sales experience is an asset; however, Tribe provides a comprehensive training program that is unique to the medical device industry in Canada, entailing a 6-month curriculum that will prepare you to be an expert with Synergy video and power platforms, alongside the overall Skytron portfolio and other cutting–edge technologies.
  • Bachelor's Degree or post-secondary education is required. Preferred background in Engineering, BioMedical, or IT, with previous experience selling capital equipment strongly preferred and considered an asset.
  • Background in working with imaging systems, integration platforms, IT networks, surgical lights and booms, and OR tables, is strongly preferred and considered an asset.
  • Must be comfortable in open operating room environments. Previous knowledge of operating room protocols and procedures is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Background in competitive sports is preferred and considered an asset.
  • Ability to travel to the US is required as you will periodically travel to and from Arthrex and Skytron’s headquarters in Naples, FL, and Grand Rapids, MI, respectively, with customers and for training programs.
  • Excellent time management and communication skills.
  • Valid provincial Driver's license is required with access to a reliable mode of transportation.
  • Physical ability to stand or sit for long periods of time and is comfortable working in a health care environment.
  • Other duties as required.
