Personal Injury Law Clerk

About Our Client:
Mayfair Law Group is a boutique personal injury and disability law firm committed to providing personalized, compassionate, and results-driven legal services to individuals across Ontario. We pride ourselves on client-focused advocacy, deep legal expertise, and a collaborative, respectful workplace culture. We are currently seeking an experienced Personal Injury Law Clerk to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will bring 3–5 years of plaintiff-side experience and be confident handling files from intake through to resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage personal injury files from open to close with minimal supervision, primarily AB with some Tort clerk support.
- Draft letters and documents such as LAT Applications, pleadings, affidavits, mediation memos, pre-trial memos, and settlement documentation
- Prepare and manage productions, examinations under oath, scheduling and documents in that regard.
- Liaise with clients, insurance adjusters, medical professionals, and opposing counsel
- Monitor limitation periods and court deadlines; ensure timely and accurate file progress
- Maintain up-to-date and organized electronic files using Primafact and Time Matters
- Perform conflict checks and maintain client communication records
Qualifications:
- Law Clerk Diploma or equivalent education from a recognized institution
- 3–5 years of recent experience in plaintiff personal injury law
- Proficiency with Primafact and Time Matters is required
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- High degree of professionalism, discretion, and client service orientation
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
