The location in Skookumchuck, British Columbia, Canada, is seeking talent to fill the position of Training Coordinator. This job is full-time permanent.

Primary Focus:

Conduct data entry of training records. Identify, coordinate and manage the delivery of effective training services to increase the skilled knowledge of the entire workforce resulting in improved business results in compliance with our Company policies, guidelines, and government laws and regulations.

Accountabilities:

  • Coordinate the installation of training record keeping in Convergence and ensure the accurate entry of records data.
  • Identify current training needs and forecast future needs and coordinate its delivery at a level that allows the organization to meet it’s present and future business and legislative requirements.
  • Prepare and meet training budget, monitor variances and take appropriate corrective action as needed.
  • Develop and maintain training records for all mill employees to ensure an up-to-date source of information.
  • Administer and deliver in house training programs and/or other regulatory training requirements.
  • Assists in area manager/superintendents in the development of their respective training budgets.
  • Coordinate the development and ongoing maintenance of training manuals, ensuring that the format is consistent across the site, and with ISO standards.

Skills/Experience

  • Extensive knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Proven work experience as a Training Coordinator, Trainer, Training Facilitator or similar role
  • Hands-on experience coordinating multiple training events in a corporate setting
  • Knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation with traditional and modern job training methods and techniques, learning management systems and web delivery tools.
  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate)
  • Experience with e-learning platforms

The salary range for this position is 60-68K per annum
