About the role
The Area Manager is responsible for providing leadership and support, direct supervision, coaching, and performance development in all matters of direct service operations. The Area Manager works within established polices and procedures, ensuring that Service principles are adhered to and upheld in service delivery, they liaise with agencies and participate in community planning and Ministry of Social Services (MSS) initiatives as directed.
The Area Manager is also responsible for sharing critical and timely information and reports to both the province team and the Program Managers and Team Leaders they supervise. An essential responsibility of the Area Manager includes the promotion of Karis Disability Services within the local Christian community by offering expertise and supports, soliciting support and encouraging places of belonging for people experiencing disabilities as they cultivate and nurture organizational relationships with local and Christian communities.
The Area Manager will support and adhere to Karis Disability Services Strategic plan growth goals and priorities. The Area Manager embraces the Christian Faith Foundation of the organization; ensures the Christian ethos and the Values, Vision and Mission permeate their job responsibilities; and personally commits to the expectations as outlined in the Statement of Faith.
