Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Support Workers to join our team at SACLA. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals with developmental disabilities, helping them achieve their personal goals and enhance their quality of life. Your contributions will be vital in creating a positive impact within the community.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized support to persons with developmental disabilities in daily living activities.
- Assist individuals in defining and achieving their personal goals and dreams.
- Foster a supportive environment that encourages self-determination and independence.
- Collaborate with team members to develop and implement personalized support plans.
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made by individuals.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills.
Requirements
- Experience working with persons with disabilities or in a caregiving role is essential.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals, families, and team members.
- Ability to adapt to changing situations and respond positively to challenges.
- Understanding of the importance of promoting independence and self-determination for individuals supported.
- Willingness to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check and you must have a valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
