HR Coordinator, Total Rewards 1-year term Vernon, British Columbia

We’re looking for an HR Coordinator, Total Rewards (1-year term) to join our head office located in Vernon, British Columbia . Our head office houses Tolko’s corporate services groups including Sales, Marketing & Logistics, Finance, Accounting & Credit, IT, Procurement and Human Resources.
Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:
- Post-secondary education in business administration, with a focus in HR, accounting, or a related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in HR or payroll
- Understanding of payroll processes, benefits administration, accounting , and HR compliance
- Knowledge and experience using Human Resources Information System (HRIS) systems ; preference given to candidates with experience using UKG Pro and Workforce Management.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills , with a proven ability to manage timelines, milestones, and critical paths independently.
- Meticulous attention to detail and a passion for process improvement and efficiency.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications , including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality .
- Working towards a Chartered Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) designation or Payroll Compliance Practitioner certification is considered an asset.

In this role, you will:
- Manage new hire processing in our HRIS, ensuring timely and accurate updates and maintaining employee documentation.
- Collaborate with the Total Rewards team on payroll, benefits administration, and reporting functions .
- Create and maintain detailed documentation , including standard operating procedures and user guides, to support payroll and HR processes .
- Provide necessary employee documentation for payroll processing and support total rewards initiatives.
- Work closely with the Talent team to support recruitment and onboarding activities .
- Assist the Total Rewards team with additional projects or priorities as they arise.
- Review, maintain, and update HR policies as needed.
- Act as a backup for other team members in Total Rewards.
- Bring your passion for building efficient processes, attention to detail, and contributing to continuous improvement.
