Studio Ten is a small but fast-paced interior design firm specializing in new construction single-family homes and select commercial projects. We’re currently seeking a contract team member to support our growing workload. This role offers the potential for long-term, permanent opportunity for the right individual.
Junior or Intermediate Interior Designer
Contract Position – 3 to 5 days per week
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, self-motivated interior designer (not an architect) to support both creative and administrative aspects of our projects.
Responsibilities include:
- Creating concept boards and adding furnishings to floor plans
- Producing photorealistic 3D renderings for presentations
- Producing construction drawings and design specifications
- Sourcing furniture, art, and accessories
- Coordinating with suppliers and reps to arrange sample deliveries
- Assisting with administrative tasks such as gathering quotes and processing orders
- Bonus if you have experience managing social media, writing blog content, or coordinating with a marketing team
Qualifications:
- Diploma (minimum) in Interior Design (not a related field), or equivalent combination of training and experience
- Education specifically from a dedicated interior design program - not a related field
- Must live or have worked in the Lower Mainland, BC and be familiar with local suppliers
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office
- Strong organizational, communication, and writing skills
- High attention to detail and a strong work ethic
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Access to a vehicle for site visits, errands, and supplier meetings (mileage reimbursed)
- Availability to work 24–40 hours per week, ideally on a consistent schedule
- We regret that we cannot accommodate a summer internship - role is ideally permanent
