About the role

Sander Geophysics (SGL) specializes in high-resolution airborne geophysical surveys for petroleum and mineral exploration, as well as environmental applications. The company carries out airborne gravity, magnetic, electromagnetic, and radiometric surveys, using fixed-wing aircraft and helicopters.

Responsibilities of the Position

  • Maintain the company aircraft at main base and at field locations;

  • Carry out maintenance tasks as directed in accordance with the Maintenance Policy Manual and Transport Canada regulations, within the scope of license, capabilities, and authority;

  • Consult with the Maintenance Manager(s) to identify aircraft, shop and field maintenance issues and to discuss maintenance requirements and problems;

  • Assist as required to ensure the timely completion of Company, Customer & Regulatory Audits; and

  • Ensure a safe working environment while maintaining a positive attitude toward personal and professional growth.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Aircraft Maintenance Engineer with an “M1” license;

  • Experience on C208 or DHC-6 aircraft a definite asset;

  • Knowledgeable understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations;

  • Willingness to travel on short notice for periods of up to 8 weeks;

  • Valid passport and driver's license;

  • Ability to obtain Transport Canada restricted area pass;
