About the Opportunity

The West Parry Sound Health Centre currently has an opening for a Kinesiologist who will provide consultation and treatment services within their scope of practice and be guided/governed in decision-making by the policies of West Parry Sound Health Centre and the standards of Accreditation Canada. Responsibilities include participation in multi-disciplinary care planning, patient teaching, both group and individual, completing ergonomic assessments of work sites, and maintaining and facilitating the efficient and effective delivery of services.

More About You

To qualify for the role, you must be a current member of the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario or be eligible to become a member and hold a current CPR basic rescuer certificate. You will also need to have:

  • Successful completion of a Baccalaureate Degree in Kinesiology ;
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing education and maintenance of high professional standards.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills combined with an understanding of family dynamics and the implications on health care delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate statistical numbers.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
  • Current CPR basic rescuer certificate.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of various computer applications and software related to healthcare programs.
  • Demonstrated satisfactory attendance levels, work performance, disciplinary history, and positive work references.

2 years of experience would be preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply!
