About The Opportunity The Manager, IT & Enterprise Risk Oversight will play a key role in enhancing Canada Guaranty's second line of defense, with a primary focus on technology and cyber risk governance. This includes oversight of technology and cyber controls, resilience, third-party risks, and alignment with OSFI E-21 requirements.

In addition to leading technology and cyber risk oversight, this role will support broader enterprise and operational risk management activities, contributing to risk assessments, reporting, and embedding enterprise-wide risk governance.

Within The First 12 Months, The Successful Candidate Will

  • Establish second-line visibility over technology and cyber risk posture, working closely with IT and Security teams.
  • Oversee and perform effective challenge of technology and cyber risk management practices.
  • Support OSFI E-21 compliance, particularly related to technology risk oversight.
  • Contribute to the operationalization of ERM and ORM frameworks, ensuring technology risk is embedded.
  • Deliver risk reporting that integrates technology, cyber, and enterprise-level exposures.
  • Build relationships across the business to foster a risk-aware culture.
  • Strengthen 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line collaboration

Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information System, Business, Finance, or a related field with a focus on technology or risk.
  • 5+ years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, or governance.
  • Experience performing or overseeing IT risk assessments, ITGCs, third party risk reviews, and cyber risk monitoring.
  • Ability to analyze risk data, identify trends, and communicate findings effectively to senior leaders.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to collaborate across business units.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in risk reporting and presentations, with the ability to facilitate workshops, RCSAs, and cross-functional discussions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of Canadian regulatory frameworks (OSFI, Basel III, IFRS 17, etc.).
  • 7+ years of experience in enterprise risk, operational risk, or governance preferably within financial services.
  • Experience in risk control assessments, KRIs, operational risk event tracking, and control effectiveness testing.
  • Experience in contributing to or supporting second-line function in financial institutions
