About the role
Pro Energy Inc. requires a Controller to work in our busy Red Deer office.
For 25 years, Pro Energy has been providing portable power generator units to our client base. We are committed to serving our customers and are recognized as industry leaders in responsiveness, reliability, safety and environmental friendliness.
This position will report directly to the President and is responsible for performing and managing all accounting functions and reporting requirements.
· Performing and overseeing all accounting functions
· Generating daily/weekly/monthly reports
· Preparation of monthly financial statements and intercompany entries
· Government reporting and remittance
· Credit and collection management
· Project and unit costing
· Payroll and commission processing on a bi-weekly basis
· Insurance and benefit administration
· Analyzing data and making strategic recommendations
· Liaise with bank, legal and accounting firms as needed
The successful applicant will ideally have a CPA designation and 5+ years experience in the accounting profession. Supervisory experience and a demonstrated proficiency with Sage 50 are required.
