JOB DESCRIPTION

CONMED is seeking a Clinical Sales Associate to add to our highly talented General Surgery sales force! This role will have the opportunity to drive market growth by leveraging a diverse and innovative portfolio of over 4,000 products.

As a Clinical Sales Associate, you will play a vital role in the operating room by partnering closely with surgeons and clinical staff to ensure complete satisfaction with our full portfolio of products. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes and customer experience, while enjoying the personal fulfillment that comes from working in a collaborative, close-knit team environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop strong, long-term customer relationships with Nursing, Surgeons and Biomed
  • Provide clinical support for CONMED products in the operating room, enhancing technical and procedural knowledge across the General Surgery portfolio. Develop in-depth expertise by collaborating with surgeons in various specialties—including Urology, Gynecology, and General Surgery—to understand surgical workflows and effectively position CONMED solutions within procedures
  • Collaborate with Territory Managers to support sales initiatives by promoting disposable product usage and delivering comprehensive training to new users on CONMED equipment and solutions
  • Deliver educational programs and hands-on training to customers, focusing on product usage, procedural support, and clinical best practices
  • Communicate technical product information clearly to customers, leveraging expertise in clinical studies to present relevant data and insights
  • Stay current on market trends, competitor offerings, and upcoming CONMED products to provide strategic insights and recommendations
  • Support company-sponsored clinical and marketing trials, collaborating with Marketing, R&D, and other internal teams to identify needs and share competitive intelligence for product development and enhancement

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrated success in selling medical devices, capital equipment, or technical products within highly competitive markets
  • Proven track record of exceeding sales quotas, supported by strong closing skills, a solid work ethic, and a commitment to building deep product knowledge and customer relationships
  • 1-2 years of sales experience with consistent quota achievement. Highly organized and self-motivated with excellent time management, interpersonal skills, and a positive, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Bachelor’s degree required; preferred fields include Business, Kinesiology, Biology, Health Sciences, Athletic Training, or related life sciences. A nursing degree is also considered an asset
  • The successful candidate must reside within the territory (British Columbia or Alberta) in a major urban center (ie. Vancouver, Victoria, Calgary, or Edmonton)
