Position: Accounting Analyst (ref: 1120186)
Location: Mississauga, ON
Hours: 9-5pm with limited overtime
Salary: $75,000 + Group ins. + Bonus + 3 weeks’ vacation

Your New Role
As an Accounting Analyst, you will play a crucial role in managing various accounting tasks at our Mississauga office. Your responsibilities will include:
- Inventory Control and Costing: Overseeing inventory for Ontario and Quebec branches, ensuring accurate cost postings, and recording major parts switches.
- Reconciliation: Handling interdivisional repairs, reconciling unit inventory listings to the General Ledger, and monthly reconciliation of parts inventory.
- Analysis: Analyzing gross profit margins, sales productivity by category, and preparing month-end accrual listings.
- Customs Coordination: Managing USMCA certificates, coordinating B2 duty refunds, and handling USA FET reporting for imported tire refunds.
- Administration: Overseeing commercial insurance, pre-authorized payments for customers, and general ledger administration including US dollar conversions and consumption tax reporting.
- Internal Reporting: Downloading unit inventory data for report management and ensuring accurate internal reporting.
This role requires a strong ability to analyze, identify problems, interpret data, and provide resolutions, ensuring the integrity of trailer and parts inventory costs and data verification for reporting purposes.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A degree or diploma in accounting or finance with 3-5 years of full cycle accounting and analysis experience.
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and queries.
- Prior experience accounting for inventory in a product based operation, (manufacturing, wholesale, distribution)
- Strong analytical skills for problem identification, interpretation, and resolution.
- The ability to work effectively with managers and co-workers on a day-to-day basis.
