Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Collect and process patient payments
- Maintain patient records and update information as needed
- Assist with billing and insurance claims
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and address their inquiries or concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office setting is preferred
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Proficiency in using dental software such as Maxident is recommended
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and maintaining patient confidentiality
- Strong administrative skills, including data entry and record keeping
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining an acceptable level of professionalism.
