Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for experienced Field Service Technicians to join our Fire Suppression Team in Oakville, ON.
Your role will include diverse maintenance and repair & maintenance of Fire Suppression Systems and Equipment. While this position is based out of our Oakville branch, there will be remote service requirements at customer locations in the Southern Ontario area.
Main Responsibilities:
- Inspect, repair, and provide maintenance of fire suppression systems as well as other fire safety equipment at customer sites
- Diagnose and address service issues promptly, offering proactive solutions
- Achieve delivery and productivity targets while upholding quality standards
- Perform site-specific training for owners and end-users
- Active team participation while fostering continuous improvements; be Face of Levitt-Safety for our customers and their onsite safety needs

Qualifications:
- Experience working in a mechanical shop or equivalent hands-on role with vehicles or other motorized equipment
- Basic electrical knowledge and mechanical aptitude with experience working with power and hand tools
- Experience, education, or training & working with fire protection and/or suppression systems is a strong asset
- A valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract, comfortable travelling around the GTA
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Able to work with technology and mobile devices
Physical Safety Requirements
You will support a strong safety culture and service team by being a part of regular safety meetings, ensuring adherence to safe work practices, and proactively identifying and addressing hazards. This role models safe behavior, works closely with the Quality team to uphold service standards and contributes to incident prevention and continuous improvement in safety performance.
The following are core requirements for this role:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs unassisted, coupled with good hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Physically able to work in restricted or confined workspaces, including using ladders and walkways on large equipment
- Able to pass pre-employment and periodic drug and alcohol testing as well as criminal background checks
