About the role
Parts for Trucks has been an industry leader serving the transportation industry for over 100 years. With operations coast to coast, we take pride in offering high-quality products and exceptional customer service to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Inside Salesperson to join our team.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring our customers have access to the right parts and components. Your exceptional customer service skills, technical knowledge and attention to detail will contribute to the continued success of our business.
Responsibilities Include:
- Represent our line of quality, brand-name truck-mounted equipment to current and prospective customers in the transportation and vocational truck industry.
- Provide customer service and respond to telephone and walk-in sales inquiries.
- Make product recommendations to meet customer needs. Prepare quotations and correspondence, and follow-up until completion of sale and installation.
- Work closely with the Outside Sales Representative to provide internal support for sales orders, facilitate parts ordering and availability, monitor and give updates.
- Complete invoicing for Equipment builds.
- Develop product and industry knowledge through training and self-initiated research.
Qualifications:
- A combination of training and hands-on technical experience, along with 2-3 years of experience in a comparable sales function.
- Self-motivated, good interpersonal skills, and a professional sales presence.
- Experience in the heavy-duty truck industry, and an understanding of pumps and hydraulics.
- Good business writing and record-keeping skills, and an aptitude for math.
- Intermediate PC skills, including Microsoft Excel, and experience with business software.
