Inovata Foods Corp. is looking for a full-time Night Shift Quality Assurance Technician to partner with us as we bring families and friends together through offering wholesome and convenient meals. The role is located in our facility. Inovata Foods Corp. is a major producer of wholesome control brand frozen meals for many of North America's largest retailers.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides the daily monitoring of production, boxing, warehouse and sanitation in accordance with the Company's HACCP System including internal quality audits and the maintenance of quality data. Ensures Quality Assurance (QA) data is generated by various departments as per our written HACCP program and ensures that QA procedures are followed.
  • Completes the Quality Journal (QA Journal) – reporting and recording all non-conformities noted during daily monitoring.
  • May participate in the CFIA HACCP and SQF audits to ensure related documentation is complete, accurate, with appropriate Corrective Actions, signatures and date/time.
  • Ensures that calibration of departmental equipment such as thermometers and scales is performed on a daily basis to ensure the equipment is kept within Company and CFIA specifications.
  • Participates in HACCP activities.
  • Train company personnel in GMP's, HACCP and SQF Code 8.0 Quality and Food Safety Program and any other key issues related to the quality assurance function.
  • Ensures all departments (Production, Sanitation, Maintenance, Shipping/Receiving, Purchasing and Sales) abide by the Company' HACCP System, GMP's and SQF Code 8.0 Quality and Food Safety Program, provides training and support as required.
  • Maintains and performs the Company' environmental swabbing program ensuring that rotation of sites (equipment and premises) is followed as per SOPs.
  • Assists in the preparation of daily sensory samples and participates in the daily sensory panel, as required, upon completion of sensory training.
  • Performs routine raw material sampling of ingredients to ensure compliance to approved ingredient specifications.
  • Reviews and approves incoming receipts of pre-printed labels to the Approved Revision Number List and advises of any deviations to the approved label.
  • This position performs regular internal HACCP and SOP audits to ensure the Company's programs are effective.

Shift:

  • Night shift, Monday - Friday, 8:30pm - 5am

Requirements:

  • Experience working in Quality Assurance

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment considered an asset

  • Post secondary education in food science of similar

Working Conditions:
