We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and support during orthodontic procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of orthodontics, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Assist the orthodontist during various procedures, including placing and removing braces, taking impressions and iTero scans, and adjusting appliances.
- Prepare and maintain the treatment area, ensuring all instruments and materials are sterilized and ready for use.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of maintaining their orthodontic appliances.
- Manage patient flow and ensure timely appointments while providing a welcoming environment for patients.
Requirements
- Previous experience in orthodontics dental assisting is preferred.
- Familiarity with terminology related to dentistry and orthodontics.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and patient care.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- A passion for working with children and understanding their unique needs in a orthodontic setting is a plus.
