Summary
We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Escape Fire Protection Ltd. This role is pivotal in supporting our HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, and training development. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of fostering a positive workplace culture while ensuring compliance with HR policies.

Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the main point of contact for employee questions, concerns, and day‑to‑day HR support.
- Manage full‑cycle recruitment for field and office roles.
- Draft and posts job ads; screens résumés, interviews, and checks references.
- Prepare offers and coordinates onboarding, including 30/60/90‑day check‑ins.
- Maintain accurate employee records in our digital files.
- Track wage benchmarks and supports annual performance reviews.
- Oversee apprenticeship program; submits SkilledTradesBC hours quarterly.
- Act as main contact with our third‑party WorkSafeBC claims‑management partner; tracks claims and modified duties.
- Administer extended health, dental, and vision benefits.
- Update HR metrics, headcount, and attendance reports.
- Advise supervisors on HR policies, employment standards, and performance issues.
- Draft and sends employee communications and announcements.
- Organize and tracks training and certification renewals.
- Support policy updates, investigations, and other HR projects as assigned.
What You Bring
- 3+ years full-cycle recruitment / talent acquisition or HR generalist experience (skilled-trades a plus).
- Post-secondary HR education (certificate, diploma, or degree) preferred.
- Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
- Strong computer skills.
- Proven multi-tasking, time-management, and attention to detail.
