POSITION SUMMARY

Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, the summer season "Welcome Ambassador" will direct traffic on Pacific Sands grounds and manage the parking lots to ensure that lots are being used by guests and staff only. A Welcome Ambassador promotes a positive image of the property to guests, and must be pleasant, friendly, and able to address guests' needs or special requests.

Note: This position guarantees full-time hours with a consistent shift schedule from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm. This position is a seasonal contract starting ASAP until the end of September (unless amended by management).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Acknowledge and interact with guests with a warm and friendly greeting

  • Responsible for Guest Check-In agreement procedures for guests opting for curb-side check-in

  • Promote keyless access option for check-ins

  • Direct traffic on the property (e.g. telling non-guests where the public parking areas are

  • Check guest and staff license plates and cross-reference plate numbers with those that the Resort has on file

  • Communicate with the Maintenance department when parking lot patrols are required to ensure the safety and security of Resort property and guests

  • Work closely with the Housekeeping department and the Guest Services office to communicate availability and status of arrival rooms

  • Responsible for maintaining regular communication and responding to all guest inquiries on the in-house text message platform (Whistle)

  • Comply with all Resort safety guidelines and be familiar with emergency procedures

  • Perform other job-related duties and special projects as assigned (e.g. contact tracing for the Surfside Grill)

QUALIFICATIONS AND TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to work well unsupervised, at a fast pace, while maintaining quality standards

  • Ability to work cohesively with colleagues as part of a team

  • Ability to maintain a high level of work ethic and attention to detail

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills

  • Highly responsible and reliable

  • Impeccable grooming and presentation

  • Proficient in English, both verbally and in written work

Physical Demands

Must be physically fit and be able to lift moderately heavy items; also required to engage in movements such as bending, stooping, kneeling, and climbing stairs when required. In addition, he/she will be required to perform repetitive tasks and stand on his/her feet and walk for long periods of time.
